How to avoid unnecessary purchases?

How do you keep yourself from spending so much money on unnecessary things? Because me being a female i love to go shopping and spending money but since I visit this web site i been thinking about saving money but im still going to go shopping? Im a shopaholic!!!!!

What is the best thing that I do to manage my finances is that I will just buy things that I need, I will overspend thus I will not buy unnecessary stuffs. I will also try to minimize using my credit cards since I am sick and tired of paying high interest credit cards.
I also realized that not all consolidation arrangements for debt, like credit card debt consolidation is created equal – the idea behind consolidation is to lessen your payments and pay every little thing off. The hitch is that if you're paying down high interest credit cards, it makes perfect sense, but low interest debt may end up with a higher rate of interest on a consolidation arrangement than just paying it off yourself. I do a couple of things to make sure I save but still have some "Fun" money. I have an automatic transfer setup, that after each paycheck automatically sends some money (around 3%) to my saving account. I also have a "fun" account setup that I also automatically contribute to. That way, I can spend the "fun" money on anything I want and not feel guilty. Good luck!
