I graduated from college and was able to get a decent job that pays well.
I really don't have any credit of note, but I have had a bank account and a debit card.
I've applied for a credit card and no one will give me one. What do I do about this?

your own bank
you need to start your own bank at your age than you will never need credit will you can finance all of your needs through yourself.
Great!
It sounds like a bad thing that you can't get a credit card but it isn't. If you have a good paying job you shouldn't need to go into debt just to purchase something. Budget and pay cash.
And yes, like someone else said, visit Dave Ramsey's site and buy the FPU or his book 'The Total Money Makeover." It was the best $15 I have ever spent and it has greatly improved my life, and the life that my future kids will have down the road.
Best of luck!
Good thing you can't get
Good thing you can't get credit card. Everyone should know that credit cards are bad news, but it calls to question what the worst credit cards to really have are. First, for the most detrimental is Macy's store credit card - with an rate of interest of almost 24% - it will send you running for payday loans instantly to pay off the way too expensive garbage they sell there. Next - the Money Return Platinum Plus from Bank of America - hidden credit card fees and outrageous rates make that a loser - and then Centennial Gold MasterCard from First Premier Bank. That card has a decent interest rate, less than 10%, but carries a lot of fees that add up each month.
Have you tried applying for a
Have you tried applying for a gas credit card. Alot of people in my area did that to get started.
Credit Cards
I have a suggestion. Go to daveramsey.com and get in his financial peace university program. I am in it now and I wish I'd gotten this stuff before I signed up for credit cards and debt. You don't have to be in debt. You don't need a credit score. You don't need a car loan. Save your money and pay in cash. "Cash is king" I can't wait til the day I have all my debts paid and I look up my credit score and I DON'T HAVE ONE because I have ZERO accounts. "I don't want to be normal. Normal is broke."
